How to Migrate Embedded Reports from Staging to Production in Taleo

Perform the below steps to migrate the reports from staging to production in Taleo reports.

  • Login to the staging or production zone. Enter User Name and Password and click Sign In.
  • The home page will appear, navigate to the “Configuration” -> Recruiting -> “Administration”-> “Embedded Reporting” -> Administration.
  • Click on “Export Reports and Data Models” and select the “Report Definition” and “Data Models” and click “Export” Button.
  • Save the “.xdrz” file in local machine.
  • Login to the production environment and navigate to the “Configuration” -> Recruiting -> “Administration” -> “Embedded Reporting” -> Administration.
  • Click on the “Import Reports and Data Models” and browse the “.xdrz” and click “Import”.
  • Then go back to the “Embedded Reporting” page and activate the “Data Models” and “Report Definition”.

Now you can access your migrated embedded reports in the Reports List menu.

How to Add Days, Months and Years in a Jaspersoft Report

You can add days, months and years to a DATE field by using the following  workaround in Jaspersoft reports.


  1. Manually add the following content in the jasper xml

  1. Use the following syntax as given in the below example:


To add Days – DateUtils.addDays($F{HIREDATE},5)  – Return type date


To add Months – DateUtils.addMonths($F{HIREDATE},5)  – Return type date


To add Years – DateUtils.addYears($F{HIREDATE},5)  – Return type date

How to Dynamically Filter Results from Another Analysis in Taleo OBIEE

In many of our reporting scenarios, we would need to create a filter based on the results of another analysis. OBIEE allows filtering the results dynamically from the results of another analysis

  • While creating a filter use the option “is based on the results of another analysis” in the operator selection drop down.
  • You will be prompted to choose any analysis from your OBIEE server, select the required analysis that has to be used for filtering.
  • You have an option to choose columns from the selected analysis. you must select the appropriate column whose values must be used for filtering.
  • You will also have the option to choose the operator which will be the condition for filtering.
  • Click on Ok and your new filter is created and ready for filtering your report based on the results obtained from the other analysis.
